The VibroGym works by producing a vibration through which energy is transferred to the body. This causes a stretch reflex that changes between 30-60 times a second.

These intense, repetitive contractions fatigue the muscles and, in recovery, the muscles rebuild stronger to withstand the increased effort.

Conventional training methods are demonstrated to improve cardiovascular and pulmonary function, body fluid regulation, visceral and subcutaneous fat, bone mineral density, and instrumental activities of daily living. Increased muscle is a key factor in the maintenance of balance, active lives, and prevention of falls, all being directly linked with mortality rates.

As well as being similar, if not superior in several benefits, Vibration training has several advantages over conventional training, especially with older or less able adults. Exercise typically requires a neural or active component to get a stimulus in a muscle however Vibration training is largely passive and can get significant results with limbs being placed passively on the machine.

NB – This version of the Vibrogym is the same as the original Power Plate, which much of the medical research and findings are based on. Latter models of Power Plate as well as Vibrogym are constructed of cheaper materials, which would not replicate the effects. Truvibe is the only machine currently under production with this same design and quality materials, the Power Plate with the rounder base is constructed using plastic, which does not transfer the vibrations in the same way.
